The Alice Affect

Alice in Wonderland came out on DVD yesterday and I'm finally getting to see it tonight.  As one of my favorite childhood stories, I have to admit I'm pretty pumped.  I was looking online at reviews and I couldn't help but fall in love with the costumes in this film.

(this is my favorite one)

The movie has inspired the "Alice Affect" which has impacted the fashion industry immensely.
Take a look..

Travel Photography

New Orleans Architecture

I was so inspired by the lovely town houses with french colonial architecture during my first walk through the French Quarter that I couldn't help but stop every couple of minutes to snap another picture. While doing this I got the idea to start collecting photos from Ryan and my travels, convert them to black and white and hang them all over the house.  Why put someone else's art on the wall when you can put your own?

Here are a few of my favorites:

And ofcourse, I have to add my favorite beach picture I took :)

My Trip to the Bayou - Down Home Country Fashion

I spent my Memorial Day weekend at the
in Baton Rouge, Louisiana!

I was super excited to see T-Swift, but I have to say, I was really disappointed in her show.  It was very theatrical, and she seemed reallly fake. Also, during the whole show she did this weird "look" thing, where she would look at the audience for like 2 minutes -- just standing there! It was like she was on something. Very weird. Love the sparkle dress though!

He was barefoot the whole time, and had lots of energy. I'm usually not a big fan of guys in flowered shirts but Jake somehow pulls this look off.  Something about him is just HOT.

Big Green Tractor! He was great. Very cute country boy.

Kenny Chesney
He was even better than I expected. Definitely my favorite performance of the weekend.

Keith Urban
Keith ROCKED. Seriously.... he is amazing on that guitar.

Kellie Picker, Gloriana, Brooks and Dunn, David Nail, and Justin Moore were also there.

Fashion wise down in the south I saw a lot of:

Printed Dresses
Like this one from ASOS.

Short Shorts
Like these from Paper Denim.
(Note: Not to be mean, just honest -  I don't care how skinny you are, if shorts don't look good on you, don't wear them!)

And my personal favorite...

Rompers
No, they are not just for babies anymore! They are cool, casual, and very comfy. I love this one from Baby Phat.

I'll have personal pictures up soon!

A Quick Hello :)

Hello everyone! I'm back from New Orleans! Wow... what a trip! I will have to write about it all later, because I'm swamped with work, but I have to say..I missed blogging SO much!

Anyway, I just wanted to write a quick hello! I'll be back with more this evening :)
